PINKIE PROMISE Chapter 1 Walkthrough
The full Chapter 1 route from Applejack's farm to the party at Sugarcube Corner — every stage, every fail state, and the moment each one lets you move on.

PINKIE PROMISE Chapter 1 is a single unbroken route: wake up on Applejack’s farm at Sweet Apple Acres, ride the Friendship Express, survive a stop in the Everfree Forest, then get Pinkie Pie’s party ready at Sugarcube Corner and sit down for the finale. Two full playthrough recordings complete the chapter in 45:00 and 38:38 with no cuts, and both follow the same sequence, so the route below covers everything between spawn and the closing scene. Each stage’s section below has the exact actions, its fail states, and the moment you can stop looking for more work.
The Chapter 1 route at a glance
The stage table shows where you are at any point in the chapter and what it currently wants from you.
| Stage | Where you are | What the chapter asks of you |
|---|---|---|
| Opening chores | Sweet Apple Acres | Harvest apples with Applejack and load her wagon |
| Barn fire | Sweet Apple Acres | Fight the fire, then evacuate the moment Applejack calls it |
| Train ride | Friendship Express | Ride toward Ponyville — until the train stops in the Everfree |
| Rescue and chase | Everfree Forest | Free Fluttershy from the vines, then outrun the Timberwolves |
| Party prep | Sugarcube Corner | Work the two-sided checklist and hide during Pinkie’s searches |
| Private room | Pinkie’s room | Follow the spare-key objective and investigate before she returns |
| Finale | The party table | Promise scene, one last hide-and-seek, then the cupcake |
Treat each location as a different job. The farm is chores with an emergency bolted on, the forest is a rescue followed by an escape, and the bakery mixes party preparation with a hiding game that repeats. Optional secrets exist at almost every stage, but on a first run it pays to finish the story objectives and leave the optional interactions for a replay — the secrets guide maps them scene by scene.
The farm: harvest, fire and escape
Chapter 1 opens with Applejack waking you at Sweet Apple Acres: the party starts soon, and the Friendship Express won’t wait for any pony. Her first task is a proper apple bucking — she kicks the apples down, and your job is to haul the baskets onto the wagon. One basket spills on purpose; scoop the fallen apples back in and the wagon fills up again.
Then the birds go quiet, and lightning hits the barn out of a clear sky. Applejack shouts for buckets — fill them at the well out front and throw them on the flames, fast. The firefighting objective cannot be won: she soon calls it — the fire is spreading faster than they can pump. The moment she changes the plan and tells every pony to get clear of the barn, evacuation is the only useful action. Staying behind to keep throwing water does nothing and only risks the fail state.
On the way out, the hens have bolted from the lightning — walk up behind them and shoo them back into the coop, then head to the station and board the train. Escaping before the barn comes down is exactly what the official Out of the Fire badge records; lingering until it collapses instead earns Kindling, the game’s barn-death badge.
The Everfree Forest: rescue and the railway run
The Friendship Express “does not stop in the Everfree and never has” — until it does. The conductor spots some pony on the tracks and refuses to step off himself, so you go: quick and quiet, staying where the light shines. The some pony is Fluttershy, caught in vines that squeeze tighter the more you pull. The rescue items are the little blue mushrooms she calls glowcaps — press one to each vine knot and the vines let go. She needs “just one more” before she’s free, and she keeps asking you not to make a sound: the trees are sleeping, and they are listening.
The train whistle wakes them anyway. Timberwolves chase you down the railway line, and the escape is a series of prompts: jump the fallen tree, slide under the low branches, don’t breathe in the fog, and don’t stop — the wolves are faster than you. Run straight down the line to Whitetail Bridge, where Fluttershy breaks the train loose and meets you. She catches up near the water — the wolves won’t cross it, she thinks — and you board together.
This is the stage where the run can actually end. The official Lost in the Everfree badge — “The forest kept you.” — exists because players die here; if that happens, the fail states section below covers what a restart costs.
Sugarcube Corner: the checklist and the hiding game
Pinkie Pie meets you in Ponyville and marches you to Sugarcube Corner — the gingerbread house up the main road. The tour runs front of shop, party room, kitchen, and ends with the problem: she was so busy planning your welcome that she forgot to make the party. You get the list. It has two sides — finish everything on the front first, and it flips over by itself for the rest.
Before you start, a party guest has to make the pinkie promise. Three teeny little rules: stay for the whole party, no leaving; don’t go in her room, it’s a surprise; and don’t touch the cake — and don’t go in the cellar, “I guess that’s four.” The promise itself is the game’s namesake line: “Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye.” The recordings show the guests saying it back; refusing is a separate interaction the secrets page covers under Wrong Answer.
While Pinkie is upstairs finishing “something super secret”, the checklist gets interrupted by the hiding game. “PARTY TIME, EVERY PONY. You have 5 seconds to hide.” — a countdown from five, then she searches the bakery saying things like “I can hear you breathing.” Stay hidden until she gives up (“Aw, every pony is so good at hiding. BACK TO WORK.”), then pick the checklist back up. Getting caught instead hands you the Found You! badge and a ride “downstairs” — see the fail states section below. The search repeats several times before the list is done.
The spare key and Pinkie’s room
After the party list work, the chapter hands you the spare-key objective — the story itself sends you into the room the promise told you to stay out of. Search the dresser by the big bed while the objective is active and take the actual key, then use it at the locked private-room entrance. A remembered location is not enough; you need the item first.
Inside, examine what the room is hiding: read the cupcake recipe and inspect the pony pictures on the wall. Both are story clues, and the investigation objective wants the room looked at — entry alone doesn’t finish the task. Before you’re done, Pinkie comes back: “Is some pony in my room?” drifts up the stairs while she checks. The recordings show her concluding “No pony in here” and going back to work — stay out of sight until her footsteps fade, then finish examining the room and return to the checklist.
The promise and the party finale
The last part of this section describes how the chapter ends, including the cupcake scene. The fan route guide puts it plainly: the ending changes the meaning of Pinkie’s promise. Stop here if you want to discover that scene yourself — everything above stands on its own.
The finale opens with the promise reprise — “CROSS MY HEART AND hope to fly” — followed by one last hide-and-seek: Pinkie counts to ten, “Ready or not,” and then finds you exactly where she expects: “You did it! You did it!” Wait right there, and don’t move a single hoof. That is the success signal; nothing else needs doing until she says so.
“Party time! Every pony find a seat. Chop chop.” Take a seat at the table when the finale asks — the party game, the toast to “friends who never ever ever go home,” and the party cannon follow on their own. The chapter closes on the cupcakes: Pinkie baked them herself “with a super secret ingredient. Eat up every crumb.” Complete the cupcake interaction and the sprinkles kick in — feeling sleepy, feeling floaty — and Pinkie carries you off: “Upsy-daisy! Off to the after party.” The recorded run ends on her line “Now, you’ll be at every party,” and the Pinkie’s Party badge registers: “You finished Chapter 1. She saved you a seat.”
What keeping the promise means — and what breaking it does instead — is laid out on the endings page, which also tracks the caught and mistake states the badge list records.
When things go wrong
The chapter’s rule for interruptions is simple, and the beginner guide on the fan wiki says it best: when an escape or hiding warning starts, stop exploring and deal with the immediate threat, then return to the story task once the scene lets you continue. Optional searching during an active threat is how runs die.
Three outcomes can interrupt the route, and each is registered by an official badge:
- Kindling — you didn’t make it out of the barn. Failing the evacuation at Sweet Apple Acres.
- Lost in the Everfree — the forest kept you. Dying during the vine rescue or the railway chase.
- Found You! — Pinkie caught you. Losing one of the five-second hiding searches.
Getting caught is the mildest of the three: the recordings show Pinkie scooping the player up — “The best parties are downstairs. Wee! Down you go!” — and the scene loops back to the promise, ready to try again. A full run is only about 38 to 45 minutes, and none of these states locks content away; they are outcomes the game logs, not punishments that end the save. Controls are ordinary Roblox movement: jump and slide exactly when the chase prompts say to, and interact everywhere else.
Chapter 1 questions
How long does PINKIE PROMISE Chapter 1 take?
Roughly 38 to 45 minutes. That is the length of two full, unedited playthrough recordings of the chapter — 45:00 and 38:38 — so it includes every cutscene and the full party finale. The developer has not published an official time.
When does Chapter 2 come out?
Party Cannon Studios has not announced a date. One fan wiki lists Chapter 2, “The Secret Ingredient,” for November 16, 2026, but the official game page only confirms that Chapter 1 is out, so treat the date as unconfirmed until the developer says otherwise.
